Mansion of Longing is the second instalment in the beloved Egyptian dramatic adaptation of Naguib Mahfouz's Cairo Trilogy. Set ten years after the death of Fahmy, the story picks up as patriarch Ahmed Abdel Gawad rebuilds his life and falls unexpectedly for Zanouba — a woman who is simultaneously drawn to his son Yassin, creating a collision of desires within the family. Meanwhile, young Kamal's romantic idealism is crushed when Aida, the woman he has long adored, abandons him in favour of a wealthy suitor.
