Huwa wa el Nessaa is an Egyptian social comedy revolving around Alawi, a theater director whose home life is fractured by a jealous, unsympathetic wife. Spending most of his time in the world of theater, he meets the carefree dancer Dosa and finds in her a warmth entirely absent from his marriage. As feelings develop between them, his wife discovers the affair and demands a divorce. What follows his separation is a comic parade of women vying for his attention—a satirical look at Egyptian masculinity, marriage, and the theatrical world.
