Blood on the Asphalt is an Egyptian family drama that explores the collapse of a household in the wake of injustice. Abul Hassan, a civil servant at the Ministry of Justice, is falsely accused of stealing a crucial case file and loses his job. When his son, a doctor working abroad, returns to stand by his wrongly accused father, he is confronted with the full extent of his family's hidden deterioration: his sister Walaa has fallen into a destructive lifestyle, while his brother Alaa is ensnared in heroin use and, it later emerges, the very theft that framed their father. The film is a raw and unflinching portrait of a family's silent unraveling, driven by crime, addiction, and guilt.
