Overview
Hero of Paper is an Egyptian drama thriller following Rami Qashua, a cinematographer who finds early success through his writing, only to be plunged into a nightmare when one of his scripts falls into the wrong hands. The text is used as a literal blueprint for a real-world heist and murder, with criminals executing its plot point by point. Rami must navigate the terrifying blurring of fiction and reality as he becomes both inadvertent author of a crime and a target caught in its aftermath. Joining forces with journalist Sawsan, he works to expose the perpetrators in a tense cat-and-mouse story that questions where creative responsibility ends and criminal consequence begins.
