Overview

Al-Maraya (The Mirror) is an Egyptian social drama series centered on Karim, a government employee who has raised two very different daughters. Karima, the elder, is preoccupied with appearances and finds herself torn between two suitors — the carefree wealthy Kamal and her hardworking engineer cousin Ahmed — with consequences she will pay dearly for. Her younger sister Hoda, by contrast, follows her heart with clarity from the start, choosing to build a life from scratch with the man she loves. Through the contrasting paths of the two sisters, the series offers a thoughtful reflection on the choices that shape a woman's destiny and the values that define a family.
