My Wife's Ghost, is a 1968 Egyptian movie, directed by Fatin Abdel Wahab, and starring Shadia, Salah Zulfikar, Emad Hamdy. with a runtime of 100 minutes.
Afrit Marati (My Wife's Ghost) is an Egyptian comedy revolving around Aida, a lonely wife who turns to cinema for company while her husband Saleh remains perpetually absorbed in work. As she immerses herself in film after film, Aida begins fully embodying the heroines she watches on screen, adopting their personalities and mannerisms in daily life — much to the bewilderment and embarrassment of Saleh. Desperate to restore normalcy, Saleh enlists the help of his friends to pull Aida out of her cinematic alter egos. A warm and witty Egyptian comedy, the film also subtly comments on the emotional neglect that can quietly erode even the most well-intentioned marriages.
