An Egyptian actress whose real name is (Zeinab Shakib). She was born to a father who works as a warden in the Abdeen police station, and her maternal uncle is Ismail Sidqi Pasha. She began her artistic career on stage in a small role in the play (The Doctor) in 1929, then she joined the Rihani troupe when she was 16 years old, and participated in many plays, including (Hakam Qaraqoush, Qismati, and The World is on the Palm of a Goblin). After that, she joined the Fouad Al-Muhandis troupe and performed a number of plays. She had participated in rehearsals for the play (they are truly a respectable family), but she died before it was shown. In cinema, she entered the field of production in 1945 with her sister Mimi Shakib and her brother-in-law Siraj Mounir. Her roles in cinema varied between spinster, mother-in-law, and evil woman.
