El-Ukhwah el-Ghuraba is an Egyptian drama that weaves together themes of family secrets, class, and forbidden love. After years of a childless marriage to Aziza, Abdel-Wadood takes a second wife, Laila, with whom he has a son named Omar. When Aziza unexpectedly falls pregnant and delivers their son Wahid, Abdel-Wadood abandons both mother and child. Years later, Wahid and Omar meet as university students, unaware they are brothers. Both fall for their classmate Alfat, who is drawn to the reserved Wahid — a young man who suppresses his feelings because of the social gap between them. Their father's buried secret slowly rises to the surface, threatening everything the family has built.
