The Pasha's Daughter is an Egyptian drama film that spans generations to tell the story of Jalila, born into circumstances beyond her control. After the government nationalizes the property of Ibrahim and places him under house arrest, he marries his caretaker Umm Al-Saad in a customary union, and she bears him a daughter — Jalila — before he dies. Years later, Jalila graduates from a music conservatory and seeks her rightful place in the world, turning to her paternal uncle for support. He violently rejects her, denying their blood connection. When she pursues justice through the courts, the uncle attempts to silence her by pressuring her to marry his terminally ill son Amr — setting up a dramatic confrontation over identity, lineage, and the right to be acknowledged.
