I Love Wrongdoing is an Egyptian romantic comedy centring on Badawyia, a spirited young dancer with dreams of stardom. While seeking out a director to showcase her talent, she crosses paths with the charming young doctor Elwy and the two fall in love. Fortune smiles on Badawyia when a director, coincidentally seeking a lead actress for his new production Cleopatra, casts her in the starring role. But when Elwy proposes, his father flatly refuses to accept a dancer as a daughter-in-law, threatening to disinherit his son. The film is a lighthearted exploration of ambition, love, and social class in Egyptian society.
