Bahr El Gharam, is a 1955 Egyptian movie, directed by Hussein Fawzi, and starring Naima Akef, Rushdy Abaza. Youssef Wahby.
Bahr El Gharam is an Egyptian romantic drama set in a picturesque coastal town, where Tona, a beautiful young woman, is deeply in love with Amin, a local fisherman. Their romance is threatened when the wife of the chief fisherman becomes obsessed with Amin and begins scheming to drive the couple apart. Her opportunity arrives when a traveling artist discovers Tona's natural talent and persuades her to join his troupe as a dancer — a decision that tarnishes her reputation in the conservative community and causes Amin to abandon her. The story reaches its dramatic climax when Amin is injured in a serious accident that requires costly surgery, entwining themes of love, betrayal, class rivalry, and sacrifice in this emotionally charged Egyptian film.
