Overview

The Apple Seller is an Egyptian romantic comedy inspired by the classic Pygmalion premise. A wealthy young man wagers with a friend that he can transform a poor apple seller he once encountered into a fully polished aristocrat capable of passing in elite society. After a long and painstaking transformation, he introduces her at a grand social event — a triumph on the surface. But as their time together deepens, the young man realizes he has genuinely fallen in love with her.
