Malaf Samia Sha'rawy is an Egyptian historical drama film set against the turbulent backdrop of post-1967 Egypt. Samia Shaarawy, the widow of a martyr, struggles to claim her late husband's pension but is blocked by the informal nature of their marriage contract. Colonel Ashraf Al-Dessouki learns of her plight and marries her. However, in the aftermath of the 1967 defeat, Ashraf's commander draws him into a military coup plot, handing him funds to assist in the operation — funds Ashraf considers seizing for himself.
