The Mamluks is an Egyptian historical drama film set during one of the most turbulent chapters of medieval Egyptian history, when the Circassian Mamluks held the country in an iron grip under the command of the feared guard leader Aybak. As the Egyptian people suffer under Mamluk tyranny, a popular resistance movement quietly organizes, drawing together men and women determined to fight for their freedom. Among them are Ahmad and Qamar, whose commitment to the cause is deepened by personal loss — Ahmad's mother was killed at the hands of the Mamluks. The film chronicles their struggle for justice and liberation in a sweeping period epic about courage, sacrifice, and the birth of resistance.
