Samiha Tawfiq, an Egyptian actress, was born on May 13, 1928 in the city of Fayoum. Her mother was a circus performer, and she comes from an artistic family. Her brother is the actor and cinematic fighter Al-Toukhi Tawfiq, and her aunt is one of the first actresses in Egypt, Samiha Al-Toukhi. She was discovered by the artist Youssef Wehbe and introduced her to film work. Her first appearance was in 1944 in the movie (Love and Revenge) starring Asmahan and Youssef Wehbe. Since then, she participated in starring in many films, the most famous of which were (Bulbul Effendi, Hassan, Murqos, and Cohen, The Goblin of Samara, The Migration of the Messenger, We Do Not Plant Thorns). She also participated in many plays, most notably the play (Raya and Sakina), where she embodied the character (Umm Badawi) opposite the artists Shadia and Suhair Al-Babli. She died on August 11, 2010 in Cairo, at the age of 82. Her mother was a circus performer. One of her biggest supporters in the artistic community was the artist Tahia Karioka, as she mentioned in several press interviews. Her brother, the executor of cinematic battles, Al-Toukhi Tawfiq. Her first appearance on screen was in 1944 in the movie Love and Revenge starring Asmahan and Youssef Wehbe. She appeared carrying flowers behind Asmahan in the song When Will You Know? She was 16 years old.
