Rayya and Sakina is a classic Egyptian comedy set in 1920s Alexandria, inspired by the real-life story of Egypt's most notorious female criminals. The plot follows Azouz, a bumbling failed actor, and his fiancée Folla, a maid working in the home of the Alexandria chief of police — the very man tasked with capturing the infamous serial killers Raya and Sakina. When all official attempts to arrest the pair collapse, Azouz and Folla hatch a harebrained scheme, disguising themselves as the two murderesses to pull off a jewellery heist — only to find themselves face to face with the real Raya and Sakina. A beloved satirical farce blending crime, mistaken identity, and romance.
