Overview
Al-Mar'a (The Woman) is an Arabic romantic drama that explores the destructive power of jealousy between two brothers. Farid and Mahmoud work side by side in a factory and live in quiet harmony — until both fall for the same young woman. While she chooses to give her heart to the younger Mahmoud, the older Farid refuses to accept defeat. Driven by spite and envy, Farid hatches a scheme involving a dancer to tarnish his brother's reputation and win the woman for himself. The film is a tense portrait of sibling rivalry, betrayal, and the ways love can corrupt even the closest of bonds, set against an evocative mid-century Arab backdrop.
