The Black Knight is an Egyptian adventure film rooted in Bedouin tribal society. Born of a forbidden union between members of two warring tribes, a young girl is orphaned when her parents are killed in honor killings. Cast adrift, she makes her way to the city and finds refuge working in a circus. When she eventually learns the truth of her heritage and returns to reclaim her place in the tribe, she is met with rejection. Undeterred, she falls in love with the sheikh's son, and when a rival raid threatens the tribe, she disguises herself as a knight and rides into battle — a sweeping tale of identity, belonging, and a woman who forges her own legend.
