Miramar, is a 1969 Egyptian movie, directed by Kamal El Sheikh, and starring Shadia, Youssef Wahby, Abu Bakr Ezzat. with a runtime of 105 minutes.
Miramar is an Egyptian drama film adapted from Nobel laureate Naguib Mahfouz's celebrated novel. Fleeing her village to escape a forced marriage to an elderly wealthy man, Zuhra finds refuge in Alexandria, taking work at a modest hotel called Miramar. There she encounters a collection of characters who embody the contradictions of Egyptian society: the reckless wealthy Hussain Allam, and the educated activist Mansour Bahy, who helps Zuhra learn to read and write. Through Zuhra's eyes, the film paints a rich portrait of a nation in transition, using one small hotel as a microcosm of class, ideology, and the search for dignity.
ميرامار هو فيلم مصري أُنتج عام 1969 مأخوذ عن رواية للكاتب العالمي نجيب محفوظ الحاصل على جائزة نوبل للأدب وتدور أحداث الرواية في بنسيون ميرامار في مدينة الإسكندرية أهم المدن الساحلية بمصر تديره سيده يونانية الجنسية ويعيش بالبنسيون عدد من الشخصيات المختلفة مثل الصحفي المتقاعد وسرحان الشاب العابث الوصولي الذي يوعد زهرة بالزواج وهي الفتاة التي جاءت إلى الإسكندرية هاربه من بلدتها لرفضها الزواج من عجوز غني ضغطت عليها أسرتها للزواج منه.
