Zezenia is an Egyptian historical drama that resurrects the cosmopolitan Alexandria of the 1940s, when Italian, Greek and other foreign communities lived side by side with the city's Arab inhabitants in a world unlike anywhere else. Drawing on that golden era when Alexandria served as a crossroads between East and West, the series follows its characters through stories of love, conflict, and coexistence against the backdrop of a city on the cusp of irreversible change.
