Overview
Forbidden at the Wedding Night is an Egyptian fantasy comedy series that delivers a uniquely local twist on supernatural storytelling. When Zarifa dies still opposed to her daughter Mona's marriage to Tahsin, she returns as a meddlesome ghost determined to sabotage the union from beyond the grave. Her husband Ashour, desperate to ensure the wedding goes ahead, enlists his formidable mother to confront the spirit — resulting in a hilarious showdown between two equally stubborn women separated only by the world of the living. A delightfully absurd folk comedy that celebrates Egyptian popular humor with spirited performances and timeless themes of love, family, and stubbornness.
