Tahta Sama Al-Madina (Under the City Sky) is an Egyptian social drama series weaving together the stories of three women navigating life in an unforgiving urban landscape. Souad, married to a young idealistic lawyer, finds herself seduced by the allure of wealth and luxury. Bassima is cast out by an addiction-ravaged father and falls prey to a criminal network that exploits women. Mona is deceived by a wealthy man who falsely promises marriage, assaults her, and then discards her. The series interweaves their separate yet parallel journeys into a pointed critique of class inequality, exploitation, and the social structures that leave women exposed.
