A Heart in the Dark is an Egyptian romantic drama about the price of choosing ambition over love. A young woman consumed by dreams of a comfortable life turns her back on her poor sweetheart and marries a wealthy man who can fulfill her material aspirations. But fate has an ironic twist in store: she soon discovers that her former lover is now an employee at her husband's firm — and one of the most trusted men there.
