Overview

Eve on the Road is an Egyptian drama that follows Mona, a young woman with deeply held beliefs about gender equality who finds herself torn between her principles and her heart. When she falls for the charming Khaled, he convinces her he is a liberated and progressive man — and she agrees to marry him. But the marriage quickly reveals a different reality: Khaled's controlling nature emerges, and Mona feels deceived and trapped. Driven to despair, she climbs to the top of the Great Pyramid in a dramatic act of protest against the subjugation she refused to accept. The film is a social commentary on the tension between romantic love and women's autonomy, with Khaled ultimately confronting his own failings before it is too late.
