Shams El Zanaty is an Egyptian action-adventure film set against the dramatic backdrop of World War II. When a desert oasis falls under violent attack by an armed group led by the ruthless Marshal Bur'i, the tribal chief Otman travels to Cairo to secure weapons. He enlists the help of a man known as Al-Zanaty, who rallies a band of loyal companions to join the fight. Betrayed by a Bedouin insider, the group loses their weapons — but seizes an enemy ammunition vehicle in a daring counterattack. Returning to the oasis, they wage a final battle that ends in victory, though at the tragic cost of five fighters' lives. The film delivers a powerful message about justice, sacrifice, and the necessity of strength in the face of oppression.
شمس الزناتي هو فيلم مصري عرض عام 1991، بطولة عادل إمام ومحمود حميدة وسوسن بدر ومحمود الجندي وأحمد ماهر ومصطفى متولي وعلي عبد الرحيم وعبد الله محمود وإبراهيم نصر، ومن إخراج سمير سيف، قصة الفيلم مقتبسة من الفيلم الأمريكي «السبعة الرائعون» الذي عرض عام 1960، والمقتبس بدوره من الفيلم الياباني «الساموراي السبعة» الذي عرض عام 1954.
