Overview
Our Gang Doesn't Have Any Other Branches is an Egyptian comedy film built on the timeless comic tradition of the charming con. Abbas invents a sweet claiming miraculous health properties — that it cures illness and fortifies the body — and the credulous public buys into it wholeheartedly, making him rich enough to pursue marriage with Nazira. But nurse Rayisa, who has long carried feelings for Abbas, cannot accept his happiness with someone else. She reports verified poisoning cases linked to his confections to the police, setting the law on his trail. What follows is a farcical unravelling as Abbas discovers that even the most profitable deception has a reckoning, and that jealousy can be a more effective informant than any investigator.
