The Suspect is an Egyptian crime thriller built around the treacherous world of gambling and betrayal. A desperate, broke gambler conspires with a gambling hall manager to rob the vault of a pharmaceutical company where a rival gambler is employed. The plan takes a dark turn when the scheming gambler murders his own partner and disfigures the victim's face. When a doctor is seen leaving the room of the deceased — a man known to have been his enemy — suspicion falls squarely on him, making him the prime suspect. The film is a taut thriller about manipulation, misdirection, and the dangers of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
