Overview
Ana W Omy is an Egyptian psychological drama that traces Karima from a lonely childhood spent in a boarding school after her parents separate, through a turbulent coming-of-age marked by deprivation and longing. Upon reaching adulthood, she seeks out her mother — a dancer — and mirrors her lifestyle, ultimately becoming dangerously entangled in her mother's romantic life. The film is a probing exploration of broken families, inherited pain, and the complex bonds between mothers and daughters.
