Farhat Omar

An Egyptian actor, named (Mohamed Farhat Omar), born in 1931. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in the Department of Philosophy at Cairo University in 1954. He also obtained master’s and doctorate degrees in philosophy. At first he worked as a teacher, then joined the troupe (An Hour for Your Heart) and embodied the character of Dr. Shadid, for which he was famous. Then he worked in the play (30 Days in Prison) at the Rihani Theater. Among his famous plays are (Josine and Fard). He participated in the Adwaa al-Madina concerts, then he withdrew from the artistic community to work in the publishing committee of the Book Authority and wrote a book about the art of theater. In 1968, he worked for several years on Italian radio and returned to act in television series, including (Zeinab and the Throne, Leaves of Roses, and Origin of the Story). He died in 1997.
