The Mud is an Egyptian action thriller that follows Officer Khaled, a determined policeman hunting down organized drug gangs. During a tense chase, Khaled unwittingly kills the son of a powerful gang lord — not realizing the victim is the son of the influential and ruthless Esmat Bey. When the truth surfaces, Esmat vows merciless revenge, turning the hunter into the hunted. The film builds a taut cat-and-mouse dynamic as Khaled finds himself caught between his duty to uphold the law and surviving the wrath of a man whose reach extends far beyond the criminal underworld.
