Al Sokkareya, is a 1973 Egyptian movie, directed by Hassan Al-Imam, and starring Yehia Chahine, Nour El-Sherif, Mervat Amin. with a runtime of 120 minutes.
Al Sokkareya is the final chapter in the celebrated trilogy adapted from Nobel laureate Naguib Mahfouz's classic novel of the same name. The film follows the third generation of the Abd al-Jawwad family — Yassin, the youngest son Kamal, and the children of Aisha and Khadija — as they come of age in a turbulent Egypt shaped by political upheaval and rapid social change. Where the earlier instalments charted the patriarch's iron grip on his household, this chapter belongs to the young: their idealism, their rebellion, and the compromises forced upon them by a world in flux. A rich, layered human drama and a landmark of Egyptian cinema.
