An Egyptian actress and singer, she was born in the Bab al-Shaareya neighborhood in Cairo in 1932. She was discovered by producer Mary Queenie in 1959 and presented her in her first film, “Dreams of Girls” in 1959, with the artist Rushdi Abaza. Then the artist Mohamed Fawzi accompanied her to one of the radio directors, who introduced her on his program (The White Piano) and she sang for the first time her famous song (Don’t Tease Me, Mama). She participated in many films, the most prominent of which are (Al-Sukkaria, The Story of a Whole Lifetime, and I Am Justice).
