The House of Bernarda Alba is an Arabic stage adaptation of Federico García Lorca's celebrated Spanish play. Confined within the walls of their home alongside their mother and grandmother, five daughters find themselves cut off from the village and denied any contact with men. As isolation deepens and desires fester, the household becomes a pressure cooker of tension, longing, and suppressed rebellion — a timeless study of patriarchal control and female subjugation.
