The Black Candles is an Egyptian drama film starring Najat as Iman, a kind-hearted nurse assigned to care for Ahmed (Saleh Selim), a blind man tormented by a deep psychological complex that has made him despise all women. Determined to heal him beyond his physical blindness, Iman sets out to break through his emotional walls. The plot thickens when Fathi, Ahmed's manipulative brother, begins harassing Iman and scheming to force her into marriage, cynically exploiting his brother's disability to further his selfish agenda. A tense character study about compassion, cruelty, and the courage it takes to care for those who cannot see past their own wounds.
