عريس لأختي, is a 1963 Egyptian movie, directed by Ahmed Diaa Aldin, and starring Mariam Fakhr Eddine, Kamal Al-Shenawy. Zizi El-Badrawy.
Arees le Okhti (A Groom for My Sister) is an Egyptian romantic comedy that follows Mohamed, a visual artist quietly in love with Amal, his director's daughter. Her father refuses the match on the grounds that Mohamed is a mere employee of modest means. Adding to his troubles, Mohamed's mother insists he must first find a husband for his shy, plain-looking sister Zainab before pursuing his own romantic ambitions. Mohamed sets his sights on his friend Salah as a potential match for Zainab — only for Salah to take one look and flee. The film playfully juggles multiple romantic storylines, using the social rituals and obstacles of Egyptian marriage culture as a backdrop for warm, lighthearted comedy.
