Dearest Beloved is an Egyptian social drama depicting a family torn apart by misfortune and moral failings. Upon his release, he emigrates in search of work. Meanwhile, his brother, played by Nour Al-Demerdash, marries a cruel-tempered woman who makes life unbearable for their mother, played by Amina Rizk, until the elderly woman flees to find work as a hospital maid. The film is a moving portrait of family loyalty tested to its limits.
