Nadia Rashad

Egyptian actress and writer. She graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts. She began her artistic career in the 1970s with a role in the television movie (Among the Greats of Islam) in 1970. Then the public began to know her through her participation in the famous series (Cairo and the People) in 1972. She began working on Egyptian radio, and excelled in religious series and biographical series. She played the role of the singer Munira Mahdia in the series (Umm Kulthum) in 1999. She also participated in the series (Arabesque, Al-Qadaa in... Islam, The True Promise, Al-Halawani Gate, Qasim Amin, Ali Mubarak, Ibn Mut). She has written many films, series, and television shows that discuss women’s issues, including (Sorry, I refuse divorce, The law does not recognize Aisha, Permissibility in secret).
