Egyptian director, editor, author and actor, born in Cairo in 1930. He initially worked as a sound engineer in Egyptian studios, where he studied sound at the British Institute in Cairo in 1948. Then he worked in editing, and his first work was the film (The Rule of Qaraqosh) in 1953. Then he participated in acting in the film (The Heart Has Rulings) in 1956, before he embarked on directing and writing experiences, where he directed his first film (Three Stories) in 1968, then the film (The Most Difficult Passage) in 1970, which he also wrote, and the series (In Something Wrong, The Family of Professor Shalash), and the television film (You and I and the Traveling Hours). He is best known for his role as Murad in the movie (The Mummy).
