The Regret is an Egyptian romantic drama following Yasmine, a factory worker who quietly harbors feelings for engineer Raouf — feelings he remains unaware of. Struggling financially, she takes a side job cleaning the home of the elderly Damanhuri, only to be dismissed from the factory when a machine breaks down. A chance encounter with Raouf leads someone to mistakenly identify Yasmine as Damanhuri's daughter, prompting Raouf to propose marriage. As the deception spirals and the truth edges closer to the surface, Yasmine must face the consequences of an accidental lie — and decide what she truly wants before it all comes undone.
