Fatma, Marika & Rachel, is a 1949 Egyptian movie, directed by Helmy Rafla, and starring Mohamed Fawzi, Madiha Yousri, Lola Sedki. with a runtime of 110 minutes.
Fatma, Marika and Rachel is an Egyptian comedy that wrings sharp humor from one young man's spectacularly tangled romantic life. A wealthy bachelor is simultaneously involved with three women from three different religions: Rachel, a Jewish woman he deceives by pretending to share her faith; Marika, a Greek Christian who eventually discovers the full extent of his deceptions; and Fatma, a Muslim woman his father is pressuring him to marry. As each layer of his lies is peeled back, the film builds to an increasingly farcical reckoning in which his carefully compartmentalized worlds begin to collapse into one another. A lively social comedy that pokes fun at the absurdities of interfaith romance and the lengths people go to in order to keep impossible situations alive.
