An artist of Lebanese origin, she died on her way back from Alexandria. The car overturned and she died. She was one of Egypt’s most famous dancers and a hall owner. She was Baba Ezz El-Din. She was killed in the early fifties of the last century. The dancer, Baba Ezz El-Din, came to Egypt in search of artistic fame, and like other dancers of that time, she joined Badia Masabni’s troupe and became one of the solo dancers, just like Tahia Karioka, Samia Gamal, Houria Muhammad, Zuzu Muhammad, and others. Then her ambition soon led her to separate from Badia and open a hall in her name on Imad El-Din Street. When Badia Masabni left Egypt for her country, Lebanon, to escape taxes, Biba bought her famous hall in Opera Square, which had been demolished recently. In this hall, Biba performed her art and sought the help of many male and female singers, along with her sisters Shoshu and Adila Ezz El-Din. Like her fellow distinguished dancers, Baba Ezz El-Din tried her luck in cinema, acting in several films, some of which succeeded and some of which failed. Among these films in which she starred was Kadab fi Kadab, which was produced and directed by Togo Mizrahi, and co-starring with her was Anwar Wagdy, her brother-in-law, singer Mohamed Abdel Muttalib, Bishara Wakim, and other artists of that era. The film was shown on August 21, 1944, and director Ibrahim Lama chose her as the heroine opposite his brother Badr. Lama in the movie The Fake Bey, with her co-star, Jamila Al-Atrash, the beautiful woman at the time, Laila Fawzi, and the film was shown on March 5, 1949. On November 19, the movie Jamal and Dalal was shown to Luba Ezz Al-Din, with Farid Al-Atrash starring opposite her, along with Abdel Salam Al-Nabulsi and Laila Fawzi, and directed by Stefan Rusti. Most of the films in which Baba Ezz El-Din starred came during or in the aftermath of World War II, a period in which singing halls that offered singing, dancing, and vaudeville sketches flourished. Biba was one of the most famous owners of these halls.
