Away from Land is an Egyptian romantic drama following Nawal, a scientist devoted to her research who finds love and marries the engineer Adel. Through him she enters a social circle that includes Dr. Othman and his wife Souad — until Nawal discovers a secret affair between her husband and Souad. Devastated, she sets sail for Tunisia to seek refuge with her brother, and during the voyage she meets Mahmoud, a man whose sincerity and warmth offer everything her marriage lacked. The film traces Nawal's emotional journey from betrayal to the possibility of a second chance at genuine love.
