Nagwa Ibrahim

Egyptian broadcaster and actress. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies. She began her work as a broadcaster on Egyptian television in 1963, and presented many programs, the most famous of which were (We Choose for You, Think Seconds and Earn Minutes, Birds of Paradise), before the opportunity came to her to act in the movie (The Earth) with the director (Youssef Chahine), who had just returned from Lebanon and was looking for a new face to play the character of a bridesmaid after he refused to choose Naglaa Fathi for the role because of her blondeness and the lack of compatibility with her formal characteristics. After that, she participated in many works, most notably (The Bullet Is Still in My Pocket, The Torment Above Smiling Lips, The Addict, The Bribery Gentlemen, The Dawn of Islam, Until the End of Life, Afraid of Something), and she starred in the series (The Storms of Women, Professor and Department Head), and after a break she returned to presenting programs again through her program (The Family House). She won the title of the first television broadcaster in the Arab world in 1995. She was awarded the title of the ideal broadcaster for 11 consecutive years. She married the goalkeeper of the Palestinian Al-Ahly Club (Marwan Kanafani) and had two sons from him, Hakam and Nasser, before they separated after that. She assumed the presidency of the Nile Channel for Family and Children until 2002.
