Overview

Professor and Head of Department is an Egyptian political drama series starring Adal Imam as a left-leaning university professor at an agriculture faculty whose life is shaped by the tensions leading up to the January 25, 2011 revolution. When his marriage collapses under the strain of childlessness and he finds himself swept into the heart of the revolution's events, Imam's character then ascends to a significant governmental post — only to face a cascade of personal conflicts and shocking surprises that test everything he thought he stood for.
