Overview
Youm Fil Aali is an Egyptian romantic musical film set against the vivid backdrop of Cairo's tram lines and cabarets. Taata, the son of tram driver Sayed, harbours a passion for singing and falls deeply in love with Nosa, a captivating dancer at a local nightclub. Despite the disdain of Nosa's friend Ajoura, who looks down on Taata's humble appearance, a wealthy patron offers the young man a chance to perform alongside Nosa on stage. Meanwhile, his father Osman — a tram conductor of firm traditions — pressures him to marry the girl next door, setting up a clash between personal ambition, love, and family duty in the heart of old Cairo.
