Antar Holding His Sword (Antar Shayel Seifo) is an Egyptian social comedy film starring Adel Imam as Antar, a simple Upper Egyptian farmer who depends financially on his wife while the scheming Medhat pressures her to sell their land. Lured by his acquaintance Mataeli with a fabricated work contract in Italy, Antar travels to Rome hoping to earn enough money to change his fortunes — only to discover the contract is fake and that a film director is exploiting him to appear in adult films. Upon returning to Egypt, Antar finds the authorities have seized the films, adding humiliation to his troubles. He must now summon every ounce of his wits to defend his wife's land and restore his dignity in a battle against Medhat's schemes. The film is one of Adel Imam's most memorable comic performances.
