Overview

At the Minister's Door is an Egyptian romantic drama film telling the story of Kamal Abd El-Samad, a medical student deeply in love with Nora, the daughter of a powerful and ruthless businessman, Halawa Al-Antabli. Unwilling to allow a match with someone of Kamal's modest background, Nora's father uses his considerable influence to destroy the relationship — fabricating a bribery charge against Kamal's father, a civil servant, and having him unjustly imprisoned. With his father behind bars and his future with Nora in jeopardy, Kamal rallies his friends for a fight against corruption and injustice, determined to clear his father's name and prove that love can endure against impossible odds.
