A Woman in Jail is an Egyptian drama thriller about greed and its devastating consequences. Employee Ezzat discovers the key to his company's safe and, spurred on by his wealth-obsessed wife Dina, arranges for locksmith Farag to make a copy. When Farag ambushes Ezzat during the heist and demands half the take, a violent struggle erupts, leaving a guard dead. Ezzat escapes with the money but is later identified by witnesses and sentenced to ten years in prison. The film traces the arc of a man destroyed not by circumstance but by desire — and the people who stoke it.
