An Egyptian theater director and author, born on December 25, 1945. His artistic beginning in theater was in 1967 with the play The Mask, and his works continued for the workers’ theatre. The number of plays he directed for the Workers’ Union reached more than twenty, and the plays were transferred to the Convention Theater. He died after a struggle with hepatitis on March 10, 1997. His children are the artist Manal Salama and Sherif Salama.
