Zeinat Elwy

An Egyptian dancer and actress, she was born in the city of Alexandria in 1930, where she grew up until she decided to flee her family home to Cairo. She began her artistic career by working on Emad El Din Street, which was famous for its nightclubs and theatres. Then she joined Badia Masabni Casino, then she worked in the Shokoko band. She then moved on to work in the cinema, where she participated in many films, but more as a dancer than an actress. Among these films are: (The Bravest Man in the World, Rumor). Love, Adham Al-Sharqawi, Wife 13), retired and moved away from the artistic scene in the mid-sixties, and passed away in 1988 following a heart attack.
